GEORGE NEWS - Pippa and Rosslyn Squair of Blanco Primary School represented the Eden Equestrian team for Sanesa Regionals in Stellenbosch and excelled in all the disciplines of the competition.
The two daughters of the well-known rider and trainer, Linda Squair, are natural born riders and at their young age are used to receiving rosettes at competitions. Pippa is in grade 4 and Rosslyn in grade 1.
Their excellent results at the competitive regionals are:
Rosslyn Squair and Tatooine Glamour Girl: 2nd Working Hunter; 2nd 60cm Accumulator Show Jumping; 4th Prix Caprilli Beginner test 6; 6th in Working Rider; 7th 60cm Ideal Time Show Jumping; 10th in Equitation Novice; 10th Prix Caprilli Beginner test 5; 2nd Handy Hunter team.
Pippa Squair and Kilshane Moyne: 1st Working Hunter; 1st 90cm Competition Show Jumping; 2nd Equitation Intermediate; 2nd 90cm Accumulator Show Jumping; 2nd Prix Caprilli Novice test 6;
3rd Working Rider; 4th Prix Caprilli Novice test 5; 2nd Handy Hunter team.
Pippa achieved on was overall fifth place and Rosslyn a seventh among the primary school riders in the Western Cape.
Blanco Primary School took second place behind Glenwood House in the Western Cape Primary School competition.
