GEORGE NEWS - A 30-year-old pedestrian died from being struck by a vehicle on the N2 near Lawaaikamp on Sunday afternoon, 2 August.
According to the Southern Cape Police’s spokesperson, Warrant Officer Chris Spies, a culpable homicide docket has been opened following the fatal incident, which occurred at about 13:30.
The preliminary information indicates that the vehicle struck the pedestrian as he attempted to cross the road.
The man sustained multiple injuries and was declared dead on the scene by the paramedics.
The police are continuing their investigation into the circumstances surrounding the collision.
