GEORGE NEWS - There was plenty of laughter, hugs and happy memories as family and friends gathered to celebrate Bergville Retirement Village resident Mimi Masons' 100th birthday.
Masons has called Bergville home for more than 25 years and is a much-loved resident, known for her warm heart, gentle spirit and unwavering faith.
Her daughters, Sheila Ralston and Patti Williams, both from George, organised a special birthday tea to mark the remarkable milestone, which was attended by about 60 family members and friends.
Although it was a busy afternoon, Masons made sure to visit every table, taking time to chat with her guests.
For many years, Masons' beautiful little garden at Bergville was her pride and joy. While she has found it difficult to tend to it over the last five years, those who know her still remember the love and care she poured into it.
