GEORGE NEWS - The woman, believed to be 78 years old, who was involved in a single-vehicle crash on the R404 near the 4 Brothers Aartappelstoor, succumbed to her injuries on Tuesday 4 August.
No other vehicles were involved in the accident and the exact cause of the crash has not yet been established.
Emergency personnel used the Jaws of Life to extricate the woman from her Mazda SUV before she was transported to hospital in a critical condition.
She later succumbed to her injuries.
The circumstances surrounding the accident are under investigation.
