GEORGE NEWS - Two men from Pacaltsdorp will appear in the George Magistrate’s Court tomorrow, Tuesday 24 December, for the murder of a 20-year-old man.
The murder took place on Sunday 22 December in Bluegum Street, in the Moeggeploeg informal settlement in Pacaltsdorp.
Police did not release the deceased’s name.
Sergeant Chris Spies, Southern Cape police spokesperson, said it is alleged that the victim was in an open field when he was approach by a group of men. “An argument ensued and the victim was stabbed with a sharp object. The victim sustained a stab wound to the back. He managed to walk to Bluegum Street where he called for assistance, but he was later declared dead by paramedics,” said Spies.
The suspects, aged 19 and 33, were arrested shortly after the murder.
