GEORGE NEWS - George residents dealing with Road Accident Fund (RAF) claims will have a chance to get answers and assistance on their doorstep this weekend.
The RAF is bringing its community outreach programme to Thembalethu High School on Saturday 19 September, where residents can access a range of services from 08:00 to 16:00.
RAF officials will be available to help residents register new claims, submit outstanding compliance documents and check the progress of existing claims.
Claimants will also be able to report unscrupulous attorneys and touts, while those with a medical Undertaking Certificate can get assistance with caregiving services, case management, medical treatment and outstanding invoices.
Residents attending the outreach are urged to bring their identity documents. Those registering new claims should, if available, also bring case numbers, accident reports, medical reports, vehicle registration numbers and details of other people involved in the crash.
The RAF says the initiative is aimed at making its services more accessible and providing claimants and their families with practical information and support directly from RAF officials.
The outreach forms part of the RAF’s community engagement in the Eden District Municipality and its local municipalities.
