GEORGE NEWS - Conville police opened a culpable homicide docket following the death of a man at Nelson Mandela Boulevard at about 11:30 on Saturday, 9 September.
Sergeant Chris Spies, police media liaison officer told George Herald preliminary information available at this stage suggest that emergency personnel responded to a scene.
On arrival they found a pedestrian who was hit by a taxi. The victim sustained multiple injuries and was declared dead by medical personnel.
Circumstances surrounding this incident are under investigation.
