Now underpinned by the same Scalable Product Architecture (SPA) platform as the S90, XC60 and XC90, the V60 features the brand's Thor's Hammer styling language and measures 4 781 mm in overall length with a wheelbase of 2 872 mm, height of 1 427 mm and width of 1 850 mm.
As these makes the V60 146 mm longer, 16 mm narrower and 57 mm lower than before, boot space now ranges from 529-litres to a total of 1 364-litres with the rear seats folded down.
Inside, the V60's interior now mirrors both the S90 and XC90, with notable new driver assistance systems consisting of City Safety with Autobrake, Pilot Assist semi-autonomous driving, Run-off Road Mitigation, Oncoming Lane Mitigation and optional Cross Traffic Alert.
While engines are expected to be carried over from the S90, the V60 debuts a new T6 Twin Engine option, which marries the existing 2.0-litre Drive-E turbo and supercharged petrol with an electric motor for a total system output of 251 kW and 590 Nm. As with its sedan and SUV siblings, expect the eight-speed Geartronic automatic gearbox to be standard on the T6 with drive going to all four wheels.
More details are expected to be revealed leading up to Geneva.
