Previously spotted only in the confines of the Nürburgring with very little to hide apart from a concealed front bumper, the latest spy grabs by carscoops.com shows the white example adopting the familiar swirly pattern camouflage on every panel bar the roof and bootlid, though its betrays its RS identity thanks to the flared wheel arches, extended side sills, black honeycomb grille and lower air intake, large side vents and a lowered ride height compared to its sibling.
While still unseen, the interior is set to mirror that of the regular A7, but with bespoke RS touches such sportier seats very likely trimmed in Alcantara, aluminium and carbon fibre inserts, a RS specific take on the Virtual Cockpit Display digital instrument cluster and a Alcantara clad flat-bottom steering wheel.
Despite Audi remaining mum on the firepower underneath the bonnet, the RS7 is slated to receive the same 4.0-litre bi-turbo V8 engine as the Porsche Panamera Turbo, meaning an output of 404kW/770Nm. A constant rumour though is the RS7 Performance will combine this engine with an electric motor in a setup similar to the Panamera Turbo S E-Hybrid, but tweaked to lift power from 500kW to 515kW or 700 PS.
According to reports, the RS7 is slated to debut at the Geneva Motor Show in March next year, with sales commencing soon after.
