Released on its twitter page with the accompanying caption merely stating, “The next generation #OpelCorsa puts other lights in the shade – with IntelliLux #LED matrix light! Want to see more?” the image doesn’t provide any further details, though as previously reported, expect the final product to be the first to incorporate the brand’s new Bold and Pure styling language previewed by the GT X Experimental concept shown in August last year.
What is however known is that the Corsa will ride on parent company PSA’s CMP platform that will also underpin the next generation Peugeot 208, and come powered by a range of PureTech turbocharged petrol and BlueHDI turbodiesel engines with an all-electric model, known as the eCorsa, arriving next year.
Initially expected to have debuted earlier this year until the PSA buyout resulted in the alleged production-ready model being redesigned so as to avoid continuing with hardware sourced from former long-time parent company General Motors, the all-new Corsa is expected to make its world debut later this year with sales commencing towards the end of 2019.
