Like the previous sighting last month, the newest images by motor1.com sees the RS7 still refusing to reveal much of itself, with the only inherent difference being the silver paint finish as opposed to the white hue of the prior model. As indicated however, the test mule confirms the RS7’s identity by virtue of the honeycomb mesh Singleframe grille, the just noticeable extended wheel arches, wider door sills, large triangular front air intakes, a lower ride height and dual exhaust outlets.
Sporting a set of upgraded brake calipers, the RS7’s motivation will come from the same 4.0-litre bi-turbo V8 engine powering the Porsche Panamera Turbo rated at 404kW/770Nm, although a constant rumour is that the more powerful Performance will feature this engine along with the electric motor used in the Panamera Turbo S E-Hybrid, albeit revised to produce 515kW instead of 500kW. An eight-speed Tiptronic gearbox will send the grunt to all four wheels via Audi’s quattro all-wheel drive system.
According to speculation, the RS7 is expected to make its world premiere at the Geneva Motor Show in March next year.
