Based on the report from carscoops.com, the GLB in question sported a significantly lowered ride height, alloy wheels previously not seen on any of the test mules pictured thus far, and cross-drilled brake rotors with the remainder of the likely updates still concealed under the extensive layers of black-and-white camouflage.
Already seen in standard form, the interior is however set to take inspiration from the A35 and come equipped with Alcantara trimmed sport seats, a micro-fibre clad flat bottom sports steering wheel, red stitching and a series of AMG specific inserts such as aluminium and carbon fibre.
As alluded to previously, the GLB will first be offered in 35 guise, meaning the same 224kW/400Nm 2.0-litre turbocharged engine that powers the mentioned A35. Mated to a seven-speed dual-clutch gearbox and Benz’s performance tuned 4Matic all-wheel drive system, the GLB 35 could possibly complete the 0-100km/h sprint in around five seconds, but expect the top speed to be limited as usual to 250km/h.
At present, Mercedes-Benz is only expected to debut the standard GLB towards the end of the 2019, therefore meaning that the GLB 35 will only debut in early 2020.
