The work of coach builder Romturingia, whose open-deck take on the first generation Duster allegedly led to the creation of the South American-market Renault Duster Oroch, the single cab iteration of the latest Duster will be marketed as a workhorse and do without a number luxurious offered by the SUV.
“It will be a work-oriented machine, it will not be like Oroch. It is now in the approval process to be sold. Specialists from Romturingia, our specialists from RTR Titu and our marketing department are involved,” Renault Romania Commercial General Manager, Hakim Boutehra, told online publication 0-100.ro.
Expected to arrive in the second quarter of this year, it remains to be seen whether the pick-up will be sold under the Renault and Dacia badges, given the French automaker’s push more upmarket that will result in the phasing out of models derived from its Romanian division in the coming years.
