PLETTENBERG BAY NEWS - De la Fontaine, a boutique organic and natural perfumery in Plettenberg Bay, hosted their opening at their shop on San Gonzales Street last week Thursday, 19 May.
De la Fontaine Naturals’ owner and perfumer, Deonette van der Westhuizen, says their hand-poured perfumes are manufactured from organic plant-based extract, sourced from indigenous and sustainable farming.
"Our perfumes contain no synthetic fragrances, preservatives, colourants, phthalates, parabens, or formaldehydes. The perfumes are never tested on animals and are vegan."
Guests were treated to samples of De la Fontaine's three new organic perfumes while Van der Westhuizen gave a brief description of how these are made.

Van der Westhuizen says natural perfumes are becoming a "big thing" in Europe and the USA.
"I think we will be on the same path soon. Studies have shown that botanical oils, even more so those found along the southern coast of Africa, are nature's apothecary and are better for you than any synthetic substances."
