This was the comment of Three Cities Group general manager Mark Söderlund.
Three Cities Group heads up the hospitality side at Pinnacle Point, managing the accommodation and food and beverage division, which also includes the clubhouse.
Söderlund announced Three Cities’ commitment to the Eagles team at the Pinnacle Point Restaurant at an event where the team members received their new match uniforms for this year’s Absa Currie Cup season.
"Three Cities has come alongside the Eagles for the first time this year and we are looking forward to building a lasting relationship with them and are glad to accompany the team to greater heights," says Söderlund.
Three Cities also assisted SWD Rugby by hosting and part-sponsoring a dinner event for four u/18 international rugby teams namely South Africa, France, England and Namibia during their visit to the Garden Route.
New additions
SWD Rugby’s CEO Willie Small introduced two new additions to the Eagles team, namely Hannes Grobler and Henk Eksteen.
Grobler is a loan player from the Cheetahs who made the move to the Eagles to gain more play time. The 23-year-old hooker and former Paarl Gymnasium pupil has been in George for just over a week and looks forward to running onto the field for the Eagles during the Absa Currie Cup First League competition.
Eksteen (30), former Stormers lock, returned to South Africa and the Southern Cape after playing club rugby for Narbonne in France for the past three years.
Eagles team captain Bevin Fortuin welcomed the two new players on board. "These two players are assets to the team. They are here to play rugby and that is the attitude this team needs."
