SENIOR OPEN - Henri Le Roux - Table Mountain
This image of Table Mountain was captured from Bloubergstrand, 12 minutes after sunset and 3 hours before low tide on a partly cloudy autumn afternoon. I used a Nikon D750 FX camera with a 24-120mm, f/4 Nikkor zoom lens, mounted on a tripod. The ISO was lowered to 50, focused on the mountain and at a shutter speed of 0,5 s I was able to create the slow-flowing effect of the water over the rock in the foreground. I managed to create a sharp background using a remote trigger. The focal length and f-stop were set to 48mm and f/16 respectively and the focus and exposure were set manually.
SENIOR NATURE - Joggie van Staden - This is my leaf
A young Raucous toad (Bufo rangeri) photographed at night in my garden, on the leaf of an Arum lily. Nikon D70, ISO 200, Nikkor 105mm Micro f32, 1/60th sec with a ringflash unit.

JUNIOR OPEN - Elaine van der Toorn - Fishing
The photo of the fisherman was taken at Coral Island, Sanur in Bali during our recent visit. The sun was just coming through the clouds, creating the opportunity for this spectacular view of the fisherman out early for his catch. The settings were Aperture Priority F9, 1/125, ISO 100.

JUNIOR NATURE - George Morrison - Rift Valley
I was part of a group of 6 members of GCC visiting the Serengeti game reserve in Tanzania with Deon Barnard as our Seagull tour guide in April. We slept over on the shores of Lake Manyara, a shallow lake said by Ernest Hemmingway to be the loveliest Lake in Africa. I took this spectacular sunset image of a storm moving in over the lake when having a sundowner with my wife at the pool bar. I used a Canon 7D camera with a 70-250mm Tamron lens set on a tripod, ISO 1250, shutter speed 1/100s , aperture f/11, colour setting Neutral. Some post-processing editing in Photoshop helped to boost the colours and get rid of digital noise. I always shoot in RAW and save in PSD before doing final touches in JPEG.
