Limited to just 900 units worldwide and rating as the most powerful production Lamborghini to date, the SVJ derives its name from the hardcore Super Veloce moniker as well as Jota, claimed to represent racetrack prowess, with an emphasis placed on aerodynamics.
To end this, the SVJ receives an updated Aerodinamica Lamborghini Attiva (ALA) aero pack made of updates to the exterior that generates up to 40% more downforce, model specific super-light Nireo alloy wheels wrapped in specific Pirelli PZero Corsa, revised anti-roll bars claimed to be 50% stiffer than those of the Aventador S, a new titanium intake valve and modified cylinder head, recalibrated Magneto-Rheological suspension, new dampers claimed to have improved the overall damping by 15%, a re-worked four-wheel drive system and sharper steering as well as a re-programmed Electronic Stability Control system.
Available with a series of custom interior trim pieces as per Lamborghini’s Ad Personam customisation programme, the SVJ comes powered by the same normally aspirated 6.5-litre V12 engine as the standard Aventador and S, but with power lifted from 544kW/690Nm to 566kW/720Nm.
According to Lamborghini, the uptake in power translates to a 0-100km/h sprint of 2.8 seconds, and a top speed said to be “over 350km/h”. As before, drive is channelled to all four wheels via a seven-speed Independent Shifting Road automatic gearbox albeit revised to cope with the additional amounts of twist.
Now available for order with delivers set to commence in the second quarter of next year, pricing for the Aventador SVJ kicks-off at R10 950 000 and includes a three year/100 000km Driveplan.
