Replacing the already rapid supercharged V6 F-Pace S, the SVR is the result of Jaguar Land Rover’s Special Vehicle Operations (SVO), and adds a model specific bodykit, larger front air intakes and side vents, steel wheel arch extensions, unique bonnet vents, redesigned rear bumper to house the quad exhaust pipes, bespoke boot spoiler and standard 21-inch alloy wheels with 22s optional.
Fitted as standard with the 10-inch Touch Pro infotainment system and 12.3-inch HD instrument cluster, the SVR’s interior differences include slimmer front seats with unique lozenge quilted pattern and SVR embossed headrests, SVR steering wheel with attached aluminium paddle shifters and a choice four colours; Siena Tan with Jet, Red with Jet, Light Oyster with Jet and Jet with Light Oyster stitching.
Although safety tech remains unchanged from the S, the aforementioned V6 mill has been replaced by the familiar 5.0-litre supercharged V8 that punches out 405 kW and 680 Nm of torque, and which is linked to an eight-speed automatic gearbox. Punching out 124 kW more than the S, Jaguar claims a top speed of 283 km/h and 0-100 km/h in 4.3 seconds. Providing stopping power are upgraded brakes with discs measuring 395 mm at the front and 396 mm at the rear.
In its home market, the F-Pace SVR will go on sale in June with pricing from £74 835 (R1 239 939), although Jaguar Land Rover South Africa has yet to announce local model availability.
