Ferrari 488 GTB- the Ferrari is lighter and certainly a faster car than that Panamera, with a 0-100km/h time of 3.0-seconds and a top speed of over 330km/h, but the big German still has it beaten in the power department, with the Italian producing 492kW/760Nm.

Lamborghini Huracan LP640-4 Performante coupe- Another Italian, but this time a more track-focused machine. It has a massive 5.2-litre V10 on board that produces 470kW/600Nm. But again, like the Ferrari, its lighter kerb weight sees it out-perform the big Porsche, with 100km/h coming up in 2.9-seconds and its top speed is in excess of 325km/h.

McLaren 570S- This might be the ‘baby' McLaren, but it's still an incredibly fast car, with its turbocharged V8 motor producing 419kW/600Nm for a 100km/h sprint time of 3.2 seconds and a top speed of 328km/h.

Mercedes-AMG GT R coupe- The car known as the ‘Beast Of The Green Hell' was developed at the famous Nürburgring race track in Germany where it also held a few lap records within its production car category. The 4.0-litre bi-turbo V8 under the bonnet produces 430kW/700Nm, less than the Panamera, but still enough to get it to 100km/h in 3.6 seconds and on to a top speed of 318km/h.

Nissan GT-R- The latest and what is likely the last iteration of the R35 GT-R took on a more usable, comfort-oriented persona. That doesn't mean that the GT-R is now a slouch, some ten years after the first R35 made its debut, the 2018 version produces 408kW/632Nm from its turbocharged V6. A violent launch control system allows it to get to 100km/h in less than 3.0-seconds while its top speed is 315km/h.
