The ladies showed off their individual styles of wearing their traditional head scarves called Iqhiya, or doek.
The event provided the perfect opportunity to share girlie things and daily happenings - and the ladies made the most of this.
They were entertained by local DJs and groups such as the Andie and Friends dance group.
The organiser, Andisa Musitsho, said Iqhiya is a symbol of the power that lies in the woman who is wearing it.
When the group gathers for special events, they wear their Iqhiya in celebration.
She pointed out that many women live in risk of their lives every day due to gender-based violence, and said her aim with the event was to get women together, to encourage them to stand up for themselves, and to celebrate the empowerment of women.
Musithsho thanked everybody who supported and attended the event.
The first Iqhiqa Yembokodo event was held at 044 Meat Cafe in Thembalethu in August 2023.
