GEORGE NEWS - Unity Park has been coming alive every evening since last Saturday, when the town's Christmas lights were switched on by George Mayor Leon van Wyk and a hard-working team of Electrotechnical Services staff.
Georgians and visitors alike enjoy the festive atmosphere in York Street, as well as the famous Oewer Street in Twee Rivieren where residents took it upon themselves to create a Christmas wonderland.
"George Municipality wants to bring good cheer and signal the start of our festive season by switching on our Christmas lights," said media liaison officer Debra Sauer.
