From there, the owl was taken to the Eden Rehabilitation Centre at Saasveld to receive specialist care.
"We are passionate about the environment and green initiatives and are sponsoring the food needed for the owl's recovery," says Dr Du Toit, "As a token of appreciation, we have donated raw meat and medical supplies to both centres and wish to thank them for their valuable contribution towards nature conservation."
The owl, named "Adhoo" after its rescuer, was set free after making a full recovery, but still returns for food every evening.
