GEORGE NEWS - Grade 3 learners who finished at George Preparatory School last year and some newcomers entered new territory when they arrived for their very first class as Grade 4 Outies at Outeniqua Primary School.
Not only is the school very excited about the start of the new year, but is also looking forward to a jam-packed programme around their 50th celebration in 2024.
Reflecting on this year's newcomers, head of Outeniqua Primary Dr Nico Venter said, “If we had to use one word to summarise the new Outies, it would definitely be ‘brave’. They braved the unknown this morning [Wednesday 17 January] and found their feet in their new classrooms. We are excited to see how each Outie develops this year to reach their full potential."
For 2024, Outeniqua Primary head Dr Nico Venter welcomes 230 Grade 4s in four Afrikaans and three English classes.

Parents and teachers are already hard at work to plan the first social event for the year - the supporters' dance on 2 February. "This is a great opportunity to meet other Outie parents, make new friends and just celebrate the start of the year," said Venter. "We plan to have a lot of fun."
