Southern Cape Police spokesperson Captain Malcome Pojie said the crowd was disciplined and no major incidents were reported.
Excited crowds enjoyed everything the festival offers.
Pojie attributed the successful maintaining of law and order at the event to the joint operation of the police and safety community organisations such as community police forums.
Addressing the media after he switched on the lights at 20:00, Naik said he is very excited about the event, which serves as way of saying thank you to the people of George.
