O’Connor said at the opening of the safe house on 9 July that Kfm will appeal to its listeners to assist with the wish list of items required by the centre.
On Friday 29 August, Stuttafords Van Lines delivered a truckload of furniture and household goods that were collected in Cape Town.
Lusia Coetzee, Stuttafords Depot Manager in George told Sue du Toit, Director of GCW, that they will transport all donations to George free of charge. “For a good cause we will always find a place on our trucks.”
A delighted du Toit thanked Kfm and Stuttafords. “Now that we have the infrastructure to transport donations from up country donors, we are able to collect what has been offered, but could not be brought here. Georgians have friends all over the country.”
