GEORGE NEWS - The 23rd George Old Car Show is taking place this weekend, Saturday and Sunday 9 and 10 February, at PW Botha College in York Street.
This is the last time the school will host the show as, due to a shortage of parking space, it was decided to move the show to Glenwood House School as of next year.
This year the show's focus is on rare and exotic cars and some 800 vehicles, most manufactured before 1975, are sure to lure thousands of visitors to the show. Last year the old car show attracted more than 13 000 people from across South Africa and even abroad.
A number of new models, stationary engines and more than 5 000 model cars will also be on display. A range of car accessories, spare parts, novelty items, food and refreshments will be for sale. Oakhurst Insurance is the main sponsor of the old car show.
