GEORGE NEWS and VIDEO - Although Women's Day was celebrated last week on 9 August, the George Municipality celebrated this special occasion today.
The Civic Centre was beautifully decorated with pink, blue and white in celebration of this special day for women.
The function was hosted by the Department of Social Development, with George Mayor Melvin Naik and Carol Hartnick as guest speakers.
The theme for the day, Rise and Shine, resonates well with the guests.
"Love yourself. It all starts with me," said Naik.
