Algoa FM, that was launched in the Garden Route in December last year, was the host.
Holding the event in Thembalethu was part of the Chamber's efforts to provide a platform where business people from all sectors and areas can meet, according to Ingrid Cronjé, Chamber manager. "It gave existing members the opportunity to be exposed to business in Thembalethu and vice-versa."
Dave Tiltmann, managing director of Algoa FM said the radio station was proud to be part of an event that bridges the gap between suburban and township markets, where ideas and resources can be shared and networks developed.
Giving an overview of the radio station, Sales Manager Dennis Karantges explained that they were aiming to build up a listenership of around 70 000 during the next eight months. He said the radio station is a constant and consistent presence in the market that provides local businesses the opportunity to communicate effectively with their customers and potential customers.
Two new businesses joined the Chamber: Voltex, managed by Ossie van Oosten, and Eden Connect with partners Ruben Collin and Kim August.
