ENTERTAINMENT NEWS - Milkwood Village is gearing up to host Wilderness' largest music festival on 18 November, marking a significant effort to revitalise tourism during the off season.
This event promises to be the first in a series aimed at counteracting the harsh effects of winter on the local economy.
Anticipating a turnout of 2 000 people from within a 150km radius, the festival features a stellar line-up of local artists, including Betty's Nuklear, Taylor Moon (taylorfnmoon), Wiam Otto, with headlining act Karen Zoid and her band.
Artisan traders and local crafters will have designated spaces to showcase their wares and services to a wider audience.
Tickets are available at R350 per person, with early-bird tickets priced at R300 per person, and the event is open to those aged 13 and above.
Beyond being a day of family fun for nearby communities, this festival serves as a lifeline for struggling locals and businesses, offering hope and a boost to Wilderness' tourism scene.
