GEORGE NEWS - The UK-based saxophonist Andrew Young is back in George and will team up with George-based pianist Rene Piet for the launch of their album Easy Street on Thursday 22 March.
Young and Piet have a unique brand of easy-listening smooth jazz.
Whenever these award-winning, world-class musicians get together, they create something musically special and it's always a lot of fun.
Young and Piet first met in George about five years ago and since then have performed together in many concerts.
Recorded and produced in Piet's studio in George, Easy Street contains a mixture of original tracks (First Flight and Brooklyn Sunrise written by René Piet, with the title track and the funky Latin sound of AY's Mambo written by Andrew Young).
It also includes classics such as Desperado (Eagles) and I'll be there (Jackson).
Georgians can look forward to a performance of awesome music fired by the energy of one of the suavest sax players on the scene today.
