GEORGE NEWS - The George Foundation of the Arts (GFA) has officially launched its brand-new website, making it easier than ever for artists, performers and art lovers to connect and collaborate, and to celebrate creativity in all its forms.
GFA is a registered non-profit company headed by prominent local arts specialists Jan-Erik Swart, Abbi Geldenhuys, Tania Els and Quintin van Biljon.
"The foundation is passionate about nurturing and uplifting the arts in George and beyond, providing a platform for visual artists, musicians, dancers and actors to showcase their work and access meaningful opportunities," says Swart.
The website, georgefoundationofthearts.co.za, serves as a hub for upcoming events such as the South Cape Arts Festival, funding and scholarship opportunities for deserving artists, training workshops for teachers, opportunities for those with special needs, as well as ways for the community to get involved.
