Le Clos impresses in Barcelona

NATIONAL NEWS - Olympic gold medallist Chad le Clos added the 200m freestyle silver medal to his medal tally on the second night of the Barcelona leg of the Mare Nostrum series on Thursday.

Le Clos won the gold medal in the men’s 200m butterfly and bronze in the 50m butterfly on Day 1.

Sebastiaan Verschuren of the Netherlands won the freestyle event in a time of 1:54.90 with Le Clos following behind in 1:55.11 while Danish swimmer Viktor Bromer grabbed bronze in 1:55.46.
