Captured by motor1.com undergoing testing, the changes to the Koleos mirror those of its junior sibling, the Kadjar, and based on the prototype, will include restyled head and taillights, a new rear facia, redesigned bumpers, a new grille, updated side vents and a new faux diffuser.
No interior images have yet been revealed, with the verdict also out on the choice of engines, which could be carried over from the current model despite reports alleging that the new 1.3-litre turbocharged petrol engine, co-developed with Daimler, could be added in place of the normally aspirated 2.0-litre petrol.
Reportedly heading for the Geneva Motor Show in March next year, the updates could very well see the Koleos return to South Africa as Renault’s flagship SUV, or replace the Kadjar which has recorded no sales since January due to reported supply problems.
