Known as the RST or Rally Sport Truck, visual enhancements consists of body-coloured door handles and grille surround, RST exclusive 22-inch alloy wheels wrapped in Bridgestone P285 / R45 tyres, gloss-black grille, mirror caps and roof rails, black window trim and a black bowtie badge.
Below its skin, the RST adds a Borla performance exhaust claimed to improve efficiency by 28%, and six-piston fixed aluminium red Brembo brake callipers with 410x32 mm Duralift rotors. As part of the standard Performance Package, the RST, which is expected to rival the Dodge Durango SRT, also features Magnetic Ride Control active suspension which adjusts the electronically controlled shock absorbers within five milliseconds of scanning the road surfaced travelled.
Available with either rear or all-wheel drive, the RST sees the Tahoe joining its stalwart Suburban sibling in receiving Chevrolet's 6.2-litre LT4 EcoTec3 V8 engine, which develops 313 kW and a sizable 624 Nm of torque. In addition to the suspension, the RST also swaps the standard issue six-speed automatic gearbox for the 10-speed 10L80 self-shifter co-developed between Ford and General Motors.
No pricing has yet been announced with sales forecasted to commence from September.
