The Sport now comes with front and rear park distance sensors, as well as the option of Active Park, which helps drivers to parallel park by using the above-mentioned sensors to identify if a gap is large enough to park in. The steering wheel is operated by the system while the driver controls the brake and throttle.
Other new features include bi-xenon headlamps with LED daytime running lights and full leather seats, with the driver’s side being four-way electrically adjustable. There is also a sports body kit that includes colour-coded side skirts and bumpers along with an ST spoiler at the rear.
The Sport is powered by a 2.0-litre GDi petrol engine that produces 125kW and 200Nm. Claimed fuel consumption is 6.6 litres/100km, which equates to 154g/km of CO2 emissions. The Sport model also has a sports suspension, partial leather sports seats, keyless entry, dual-zone air conditioning and an auto-dimming rear-view mirror.
The Ford Focus 2.0 GDi Sport sells for R303 700, meaning that the Sport Option Pack adds R13 870 to the price, which also includes a 4-year/120 000km fully comprehensive manufacturer warranty and a 5-year/90 000km service plan.
