The result of a collaboration with the Red Bull Racing Formula One team, the newly titled Valkyrie is claimed to not only achieve a 1:1 power ratio, but, according to Aston, redefine what is possible to achieve from a road car.
Resembling an LMP 1 prototype and co-developed by Red Bull Chief Engineer Adrian Newey, the Valkyrie packs a 6.5-litre normally aspirated Cosworth V12 developing some 671 kW, combined with an electric motor and F1-style energy recovering system purpose build for maximum performance.
No top speed or further tech figures were revealed with Aston Martin only stating that the Valkyrie will feature a bespoke suspension configuration and transmission, the latter again developed by Red Bull, and limited to just 150 vehicle inclusive of all remaining prototypes and 25 track-only models.
Rapide AMR and Vantage AMR Pro
Aside from the Valkyrie, Aston also debuted two limited AMR models based on the Rapide and stalwart Vantage.
Claimed to be more than just a special edition, the Rapide AMR makes extensive use of carbon fibre inside and out with differences consisting of a new grille, front splitter, rear diffuser and decklid, black 21-inch alloy wheels, quad exhausts, exclusive Sterling Green paint finish with Lime Green stripe, green brake callipers and on the inside, Dark Knight Alcantara trim with Lime Green inserts, lightweight carbon fibre seats and carbon fibre inserts.
Up front, the AMR continues with Aston's long serving 5.9-litre V12, tweaked to produce 447 kW instead of the usual 411 kW, with top speed being a claimed 338 km/h.
Taking inspiration from its participation in GT4 racing and Le Mans, the strictly non-road legal Vantage AMR Pro boasts the same colour finishes as the Rapide AMR, with additional enhancements consisting of a race-spec adjustable suspension, 19-inch Michelin Pilot Cup 2 tyres, competition engine and transmission, different grille and front bumper, revised rear diffuser and custom roll cage.
Sporting the same bonnet as the Vantage GTE used in the World Endurance Championship, the AMR Pro comes powered by same 4.7-litre V8 used in lesser models, but revised to produce 373 kW.
