Drawing heavily from the Megane, the snaps published by cardesignworld sees the fifth generation of Renault’s supermini gaining the same C-shaped headlights that cuts into the bumper like its bigger sibling, as well as the V-shaped cut below prominent Renault logo on the grille.
In addition to a slightly raised shoulder line, the newcomer retains its predecessor’s concealed rear door handles located in the C-pillar, while the taillight clusters have been redesigned and the bootlid reshaped. In the case of the blue example pictured, the fitment of a satin silver diffuser, alloy wheels similar to those of the now discontinued Megane GT and an undistinguishable badge underneath the right light cluster, suggests that a lukewarm model, possibly the new GT, could again be offered to bridge the gap between cooking variants and the flagship RS.
As indicated by the interior images, the Clio’s biggest standout is the fitment of a new 9.3-inch tablet-like infotainment display, along with a new steering wheel seemingly poached from alliance partner Nissan, an all-digital instrument cluster that will be available in seven or ten-inches and upgraded materials as per Renault’s aim of being more premium.
Expect complete details, also surrounding engine specs, to be announced when the covers are taken off sometime this afternoon.
