"We have chosen the yellowwood because like Mandela this tree stands out above the rest of the trees in the forest. It gives protection so that other growth can flourish. The yellowwood is the Mandela of the forest."
Louw added that trees, like education, are an investment for the future "just like the courses offered at NMMU".
