MSR initiated this campaign to raise awareness about the need to create jobs and to encourage people to seize the initiative.
In conjunction with this campaign, the month of May has also been declared Make South Africa Work Month.
"With unemployment at critical levels, the MSR campaign aims to facilitate the placement of skilled and semi-skilled workers in part-time or full-time work," explains Peter Kratz, national director of MSR. "We want South Africans to realise that it is possible for them to create work.
"During the month of May we would like to encourage those who can, to create jobs for members of MSR for a day, a week, a month, or even permanently," adds Kratz.
"MSR makes it easy for you to hire a worker with their organised pick-up points and database of skilled and recommended labourers at a minimum wage for eight hours of work. "Why not create meaningful employment for someone and spend your money in a way that empowers them and helps you too?"
More about MSR
MSR is a non-profit organisation that seeks to bridge the gap between the growing economy and unemployed people with low skills. The main objective of their activities is to increase the ability of people to earn a sustainable income.
Customers can collect a worker for part-time, contract or full-time work, knowing that the people they hire are able, trustworthy and skilled in particular areas. The collection point in George is in Industrial Street.
Details of all MSR members are loaded onto a database, which carries a record of their identity number and photograph, skills training, references and recommendations, ensuring customers will be matched with the best worker for a particular job.
