GEORGE NEWS - Glenwood House School and LGE Waste joined forces to donate a wheelchair to Rosemoor Old Age Home.
Glenwood House collected 450kg of bottle tops over two years, leading to the sponsorship of a wheelchair by LGE Waste.
This marks the fourth wheelchair obtained through the bottle top collection initiative at Glenwood.
The project is a collaboration between the Landmark Foundation and LGE Waste, where bottle tops are purchased, and wheelchairs are donated.
The effort is driven by the collective involvement of Glenwood Pre-primary, Preparatory, and College, along with supportive parents who contribute by collecting and sending in the bottle tops.
Speaker of George, Sean Snyman, presenting the wheelchair to Glenwood House School.
George Speaker Sean Snyman performed the handover. Given his own disability, the initiative held special significance for him.
