GEORGE NEWS - Community Police Forum (CPF) members in the Garden Route district have completed a three-day conflict resolution course presented and facilitated by the Office of the Ombudsman in Worcester.
The training follows the recent launch of a Western Cape Ombudsman office in Mossel Bay, bringing the service closer to communities in the Southern Cape.
The members took the oath of office during a certificate ceremony on 28 August.
They are mandated to resolve and conciliate minor disputes relating to policing matters amicably on behalf of the Ombudsman’s office in the Southern Cape, providing communities with an additional avenue to address such concerns.
