GEORGE NEWS - George Municipality has announced another surprise resignation.
The municipality today confirmed that Director of Planning and Development Lauren Waring, has also resigned.
This follows after the resignation of the Municipal Manager Dr Michele Gratz was made public earlier this morning.
Municipal Spokesperson Chantèl Edwards issued the following statement about Warings resignation:
“Given the Municipal Manager’s resignation, compounded by the Executive Mayor’s [Leon van Wyk’s] appointment to the Legislature, Ms Waring has indicated the new Executive Mayor and Municipal Manager be given the opportunity to build a team that will be aligned with their vision and management requirements.”
