Update
GEORGE NEWS - Notice of an additional item, the election of an acting speaker, was handed out during the George Council meeting this morning.
Two nominees for this position were approved by the IEC.
They are ACDP Councillor Johan du Toit, nominated by the opposition, and DA Councillor Vincentius Muller, nominated by the ruling DA party.
Voting is about to commence.
