GEORGE NEWSFLASH - The man who was allegedly involved in the attack and robbery on Karen Marshall (79) at her home in Hoekwil in December briefly appeared in the George Regional Court yesterday, Wednesday 7 March.
The case was postponed for legal representation to this coming Friday.
Thembinkosi Joseph Mgabaza, from KwaNonqaba in Mossel Bay, was arrested on Friday 5 January.
He had a cellphone in his possession that linked him to the attacke on Marshall.
Four men attacked Marshall when she left her home to dispose of her leftover supper at around 22:00 on Thursday 28 December.
They proceeded to tie her up and ransacked her home.
She sustained severe bruises and injuries to her wrists and ribs.
According to Southern Cape police spokesperson, Captain Malcolm Pojie, a house robbery case had been opened for investigation by the George crime unit.
He remains in custody.
