GEORGE NEWS - An elderly resident of Hoekwil is recovering in the George Mediclinc after being attacked by four men last night while putting out her black rubbish bags.
Her daughter, who was speaking to the police when the George Herald phoned said “My mom was overpowered by four men at around 22:00.
"She was beaten, gagged and tied up. The house was ransacked, looted and partially flooded when a tap was left open.”
The four suspects fled the scene.
There are injuries to the victim’s hands and mouth.
