Many of the residents have volunteered their services to provide skills lessons such as knitting and sewing to assist young people who have an entrepreneurial spirit.
The morning tea was accompanied by beautifully decorated cupcakes, generously provided by KeNako Golf Academy and served by Nadia Abrahamse (EXCO Member), and scrumptious gourmet sandwiches provided by the Chamber president's accounting firm, Cilliers Accountants.
In the afternoon 83 residents of the Rosemoor Service Centre were treated to a high tea with sausage rolls, cake and muffins.
The muffins were baked and decorated by chamber secretary Mary-Anne Loose and her husband and the sausage rolls were provided by Daleen Thomson (EXCO).
Each resident was also presented with a parcel consisting of a facecloth, a bar of soap and a chocolate that was donated by Tarryn Stephenson, from TADA Events (EXCO).
The previous day many people in Parkdene, young and old, were treated to soup, bread and snacks in support of the Noluthando Women's Project.
