GEORGE NEWS - As part of an awareness campaign against cybercrime, the Blanco Neighbourhood Watch, in collaboration with the George Community Policing Forum (CPF), will be hosting an information session in Blanco on Thursday 7 August.
The session aims to highlight the dangers of cybercrime and how residents can protect themselves and their families against online scams, cyberbullying, identity theft, and other digital threats. Due to availability and logistical considerations.
The session will take place at 10:00 at the Dutch Reformed Church Blanco in Napier Street.
It's open to all interested members of the public, and community members are strongly encouraged to attend - especially parents, educators, and young people who engage with technology daily.
For more information, interested individuals can contact Steffie Rossouw of the Blanco Neighbourhood Watch on 072 380 2632, or the deputy chairperson of the George CPF, Theresa Scholtz, on 082 441 5500.
“We live in a time where cybercrime is rapidly evolving, and no one is immune,” says Scholtz.
“By staying informed, we can help make our community safer.”
