BUSINESS NEWS - The Garden Route is set to welcome back a familiar face with the return of Philip Vercueil, former deputy headmaster of Glenwood House Preparatory School.
This time, he will become a familiar face in and around Hartenbos. With an impressive teaching career spanning 32 years, Vercueil brings with him a wealth of experience and a deep passion for education.
He began his career in the Vaal Triangle before taking a brief break to pursue ordained ministry. His calling to education brought him back to the classroom at Trinityhouse Preparatory in Randpark Ridge, where he spent a decade shaping young minds.
It was in George, at Glenwood House, where Vercueil found a true sense of belonging. His 14 years there were marked by great success and personal growth.
Vercueil is thrilled to be returning to the Garden Route. He will join the team pioneering the new King's College at Outeniquasbosch, which is set to open in the Hartenbos area in January 2025.
"To feed into the lives of children is both a privilege and a responsibility," he says. His values of integrity, selfless service, and the importance of preserving the sanctity of childhood have guided his career.
A strong believer in the value of family, Vercueil is grateful for the unwavering support of his wife, Carol. She, too, will be part of this new venture, taking up an administrative role at the school.
With his return, a new chapter begins for both Philip and the region - a chapter defined by passion, dedication and the promise of a brighter future for the students he will serve.
