GEORGE - The Arts Theatre was packed with patrons of the Scottish poet, Robert Burns during the yearly commemoration of his birthday onFriday evening.
Burns’s 200-year-old legacy left plenty of room for a splendid performance of his song and prose followed by serious merry making and dining. Guests were all invited to have a taste of the well-known haggis - a cooked sheep stomach filled with tripe - which was certainly a popular dinner time conversation.
Famous Grouse Whisky made sure the night ended on a high note by giving free samples of their golden liquid to all the party-goers.
Nashua and Watson’s Butchery helped with sponsorship for a delightful evening.
