GEORGE NEWS - The York High girls first team won the Eden Women's League for the second consecutive year on Saturday 3 August at York High School. The final match was fiercely contested and culminated in a sudden-death shootout.
"This back-to-back championship is a significant achievement, especially considering York High is a school team competing against clubs," said Marike Meyer, marketer for York High.
"The York girls have participated in the women's league for several years to gain exposure to high-level hockey, enhancing their competitive edge in school tournaments."
